On their last day in Canada the students decide to take action to bring attention to what they’ve seen. They staged a demonstration outside the Alberta Environment office in Edmonton calling on them not to turn a blind eye to the tar sands. They were able to get their message out through the mainstream media that evening after no less than four TV crews came along to film them. They had stories out on all the major TV news networks including CTV, Global and CBC.
